I have a cold. :( I feel like crap, but thankfully it isn't covid. I didn't want to call off work because I just started, but since I work in a hospital it is best to stay home and rest. Depending on how I feel tomorrow; I might call off again and since I will be off Thursday and Friday it should give me enough time to recuperate and go back to work the weekend.

I like my new job, but management is shit! I didn't get any real training to speak of, and last week, I got a call from 5 different people about reassigning a room and bed to a patient who had been sent to the sister hospital for some procedure. I had yet to learn how to do that since I was never shown how and was by myself the whole shift. I kept telling those people I was alone but was dismissed. Somehow, those same people managed to reassign the room and bed to the patient while I was on the phone. The patients, I was to admit, had to wait until I was done with the phone. I was so mad. I have yet to learn how to fully register all patients, including taking payments from them. A coworker is supposed to teach me how to register patients, but since our shifts hardly ever coincide, it is hard. Plus, it is only the two of us when it should be three people at the front desk the few times we work together. The only good thing is my coworkers are very helpful, and we get along.

I finished my first full week at my new job. I am tired. Monday - first day I picked my insurance plan and started training with a few videos; I could not log in at all. The girl I was training with called IT support, but I could not log in the whole day my supervisor called them helpless support lol. Tuesday - second day went better I was able to log in and start the videos I did that the whole day until 4:30. Wednesday - I finished watching the videos, spend the rest of the day at the ER shadowing the front desk ladies. Their shift ended at 3p.m., so I went to look for the girl that was training me earlier and stayed with her until I left at 4:30. Thursday - I went directly to the ER to continue shadowing and midway through I started checking patients in. Again, after they left, I went to the training girl to finish my shift. Friday - I was at the ER check in again and stayed there until 4:30. During my lunch break I went to see my supervisor to see where I was going to start
